On December 6, 2013, the Japanese and Estonian governments held a policy dialogue regarding ICT policy and cybersecurity at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Tokyo. The Japanese delegation included officials from the Cabinet Secretariat, MOFA, and Ministry of Defense, whereas the Estonian side sent officials from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and Estonian Information System’s Authority as well as Estonian Ambassador to Japan.

The two governments first exchanged their presentation to introduce their efforts in the ICT and cybersecurity field such as their basic strategy, international cooperation, national security vision for cybersecurity, and cyber defenses. Then, the participants discussed how the two governments can cooperate together on ICT and cybersecurity.
